I'm Cat, a 20-something Manila yuppie, and I'm new at this. :) It was only in year 2014 that I decided I wanna start traveling.

I wouldn't really call myself a "travel blogger", rather, a free-spirited young student of life who loves to write about her excursions. I know that there are so many other travel bloggers with better pictures of their travels and have travelled farther and longer than I have. Here, I just try my best to tell stories of trips and places that capture my being.

Before 2014, I was just like anybody else. I go to the beach every summer with my family and set on out-of-town trips with friends occasionally. I was never really the “traveling type.” Now, it feels like travelling is one of my lifelines. Before, majority of my income goes to shoes and clothes, but now, I allot most of it to travels and I have never been happier to invest all of what I can to the priceless experiences and worldly adventures.

Where it all began...

This spark all started last February of 2014 when I reached the summit of Mt. Pulag. What was meant to be a joke among my friends and I to climb the highest mountain in Luzon became a real challenge and before we knew it, there was no turning back. When I was at the top of mt. Pulag, which was 2,922 metres above sea level and was freezing because the temperature was -2°C, something sparked in me. There was something so inexplicably amazing with the feeling that you are taller than most mountains, while the sun is rising from the east which seems to be just within reach and you are amidst the sea of clouds. It ignited a passion within me that I was not interested in before. Now, I have tried my best to make time and save money to be able to jump from one province to another and am trying my best to reach international destinations too. Bangkok and Phuket were my maiden voyages outside the Philippines, and since then, I knew I need and want to see more of this vast planet.

So yeah, I guess we all need that trigger...

I am a neophyte in traveling and perhaps, I will always stay as one. The world is too big you will never run out of majestic mountains to climb, pristine white beaches to sunbathe in, and historical man-made structures that can take your breath away.

PS: I am not a photographer but I try. So if you think some photos could have been shot better or edited better, I apologize. Again, not a professional. :) I shoot with my iPhone and my Ricoh outdoor cam only.

Love,

Cat
